There are many ways that a student can get involved!
The best way to participate in RhodyThon is to be a dancer! You can register as an individual dancer or be apart of a team! Dancers must commit to dancing the full 8 hours the day of the event to honor the children of Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Dancers are an important part of the dance marathon because, without them, RhodyThon wouldn’t exist!
All member of the URI community can participate as Dancers, including undergraduate and graduate students, faculty/staff, and alumni.
If you are creating a team and want to be a leader, then being a Captain is the job for you! A Captain relays all the information to their team. The Captain also helps get their team ready for the day of the dance marathon by making sure each person has raised their minimum goal and getting their team to the event on time.
If you still want to help us reach our fundraising goal but not participate in the dance marathon night, you can still be an integral part of the dance marathon. During the registration process, just sign up as a fundraiser!
The dance marathon cannot be complete without volunteers! If you would like to sign up to be a volunteer, you will be helping set up, clean up and assist during the dance marathon. During the event, you will help distribute food and beverages, getting dancers signed in, and mainly assisting the Executive Board.
