RhodyTHon is the movement sweeping the campus at the University of Rhode Island. We raise funds for our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Hasbro Children’s Hospital. We come together as Rhody to support the kids from our local community being treated at our local CMN hospital. We are more than a movement, we are a family. We are part of the Miracle Network Dance Marathon family of 400 college and high school programs standing and raising money for their local CMN Hospital. We raise more than funds, we raise awareness by standing and dancing for the kids who can’t. So if you’re looking to be a miracle maker and to become a part of something that is better than yourself, then RhodyThon is that place on campus for you. Join the movement, join our family.
How do I sign up?
To sign up for RhodyThon, visit here. You will be asked to sign up as a dancer or a fundraiser and whether you would like to create a team or join an existing one. The difference between a dancer and fundraiser is described below.
What is the difference between a dancer and a fundraiser?
A dancer is someone who will be attending the 8 hour event in March 2018. As a dancer, you must raise $50 before the event. During the event, you will be given food and get to enjoy all the entertainment we have planned.
As a fundraiser, you will not be attending the event but still support RhodyThon. You have your own donation link that you can send to friends and family to help raise awareness and money for the kids.
I signed up as a fundraiser, but now I want to dance. What do I do?
We would love if you switched from a fundraiser to a dancer. Just inform us and we will get you switched over.
I want to sponsor RhodyThon. How can I do that?
RhodyThon needs many incredible sponsors to make the event possible.
What should I expect at RhodyThon?
In short, RhodyThon is a 8 hour event full of dancing, activities, food, and, most importantly, miracles. You don’t have to dance the whole time at RhodyThon, there are many aspects of the event to keep you busy and active.
What is Children’s Miracle Network? What is a Miracle Child?
Children’s Miracle Network is an international non-profit network of hospitals that raises funds for children’s hospitals, medical research and community awareness of children’s health issues. A Miracle Child is one of the children who benefits from not only the efforts of Children’s Miracle Network, but from our efforts here at RhodyThon as well.
